When you start to use Google Analytics seriously you sometimes need to add several profiles to a Google Analytics account. The problem is that when you copy Google Analytics profiles, annotations are not copied with them. This is a serious issue that I mentionned to one of our developpers at inextcom. I asked to Vincent GIERSCH to developp a script for Grease Monkey (a popular add on for Firefox) in order to copy and paste annotations from a profile to another… and he did it. Here is an introduction to this script.
Copy and paste notes in Google Analytics
In order to copy and paste notes in Google Analytics you will need to install Grease Monkey (a popular add-on for Firefox). You will find it on the official website of Firefox.
Once installed on Firefox you will see the monkey face on your browser. All you need now is to install the script developped by Vincent on Grease Monkey. You will find this script at http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/110025. Vincent did it for free the best way to acknowledge his contribution is to let him a review, I think he will more than appreciate it. You can send him back any errors in his code at https://github.com/gierschv/GoogleAnalytics-AnnotationsManager.
This script works only for the new Google Analytics interface. Once installed properly you will then see the following functionalities in the Google Analytics backend interface:
